What happens when you give a Mahjong community a blank canvas and let the players help design the set?
THIS.
For several weeks, Sweet Jojo Mahjong collaborated with the Mah Jongg, That's It! Facebook group to create a Mahjong tile set from the ground up. Instead of designing the collection behind closed doors and simply unveiling the finished product, we invited the community into the process.
The community voted on colors.
They voted on artwork.
They shared ideas.
They made suggestions.
They debated favorites.
And, week by week, they helped shape the final design.
Every part of the collection became a collaboration between Sweet Jojo Mahjong and the people who love the game most. After weeks of voting, tweaking, choosing and rethinking, the final design is finally here and we're SO excited to share this finished community created American Mahjong set with you.
A SET MADE BY PLAYERS, FOR PLAYERS
There is something especially meaningful about playing a game with a set that you helped create. Whether you participated in every vote, followed along as the design evolved, or are discovering the collection for the first time, this Mahjong set represents something bigger than beautiful tiles. It represents the creativity, opinions, humor and personality of an amazing Mahjong community. And because the final design came directly from community favorites, there are details throughout the set that were chosen by the players themselves.
AND YES… THERE ARE MORE JOKERS! The community had a lot of opinions about the Jokers and we loved seeing so many favorites emerge! Because there were more Joker designs that the community wanted than could fit into the standard 160-piece set, we've created a special limited-edition Joker Expansion Pack available as a separate add-on. It's the perfect way to add even more of the community's favorite designs to your set and a fun little piece of the story behind how this collection came to be.
